JOHNSTOWN - Books for the Hale Creek Detention Facility and the Gloversville Boys & Girls Club can be dropped off at the city office of Assemblyman Marc Butler, R-Newport.

The office is located in City Hall at 33 E. Main St.

Butler's office said in a news release the Hale Creek facility is trying to expand its library and is seeking reference, science and poetry books, books of sayings or quotes and books with random facts.

The Boys & Girls Club could use books for preschoolers through sixth-graders. The club also could accept donations of gently used games, the news release said.
