Money raised at show will help kids

August 14, 2013
The Leader Herald

On behalf of the Ephratah Recreation Commission, we would like to thank everyone who helped make our car show a success.

A big thank you to the following for donations for our raffles: Saltsman's Hotel, Brookside Tavern, Brittany's Diner, Christman's Auto, Ephratah Service Center, Kretser Auto and Fraiser's Sugar Shack.

We would like to thank Granny's Ice Cream and Royal Mountain campsite for sponsoring our trophies. To Artie and Colleen Rumrill for all the help on getting everything set up and running. Thank you to Mark who was the DJ and came even on short notice. Thank you to JJ for the bouncy house; the kids really enjoy having it. Thanks to Hazel Prall and Jake Cretser for the delicious salads.

A big thank you too all of the drivers who brought their cars, motorcycles and bicycles out. Without you, the day would not have been successful. Thank you to the Fulton County Sheriff's Department K-9 and Operation Safe Child, who were there for the kids. The kids enjoyed getting to see the dogs and the officers. Also a very sincere heartwarming thank you to June Fraiser, Judy Townsend, and Lynn Wood - these women donated a Saturday to help run the concession stand, and keep track of raffle tickets.

To anyone who I missed, a big thanks.

The money raised goes right back to the kids, so a big thank you too everyone involved from the Ephratah Recreation Commission.

ALAN CRETSER

Director, Ephratah Recreation Commission
