GLOVERSVILLE - A city man is facing charges after he reportedly chased a woman down the street with a wooden pole from a broken bedframe.

Clyde C. Jones, III, 47, of 14 Curtis St., was charged at 5:56 p.m. Tuesday with third-degree attempted assault and second-degree menacing.

Police said Jones was involved in a domestic violence dispute on North Water Street. Police said Jones reportedly punched and pushed a female victim several times. Police said he also chased her down the street trying to strike her with a large wooden pole from a broken bedframe.

He was arraigned in City Court and sent to the custody of the Fulton County Sheriff's Department.
