GLOVERSVILLE - City police arrested a man Thursday after he allegedly punched his ex-girlfriend in the stomach while she was four months pregnant, authorities said.

Troy P. Zabawczuk, 19, of 32 Third St., was charged by city police with second-degree aggravated harassment and third-degree attempted assault, both misdemeanors, police said.

Police said Zabawczuk was arrested after an investigation into a domestic-violence incident.

Officers were called to 22 Lincoln St. for an incident between a male and female. Zabawczuk had allegedly punched his pregnant ex-girlfriend in the stomach, police said.

Before the incident, police said, he also sent threatening text-messages to the ex-girlfriend.

Zabawczuk was transported to the Police Department, processed and held for arraignment in City Court before Judge Traci DiMezza.
