GLOVERSVILLE-A woman was arrested Thursday after an investigation revealed she left a dog at a post on the Rail Trail with no intention of returning, city police said.
Kayla A. Bothel, 20, of 22 Lincoln St., was charged with animal abandonment, a misdemeanor.
Police said Bothel was arrested after an investigation into an animal complaint on the Rail Trail on July 26 between Lincoln Street and West Eighth Avenue.
Police said officers learned Bothel tied up a dog to a post on the Rail Trail with no intention of returning for the animal.
Bothel was issued an appearance ticket returnable to City Court.
