MAYFIELD-The village is under a boil-water advisory after reports of low pressure were received by village officials.
Mayor Jamie Ward said there was little pressure in the system around 5 a.m. this morning. He said a pump had kicked off, forcing the village to use water from the village's tower, which was recently cleaned. That necessitated the boil-water advisory, he said.
A crew from Pittsburgh Tank and Tower recently patched the hole that was causing the tower to leak.
However, Ward said the tower is leaking again. Ward said the leak is coming through the recently-repaired hole. Ward said crews from Pittsburgh Tank and Tower will return to fix it at no addition cost to the village.
Ward said the boil-water advisory will be in effect until everything is repaired. Ward said he is hoping the repairs will be done by Monday.
