Bennie David Lamphear

Bennie David Lamphear, "Dave" of Dave's Electric, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, July 28, 2013. He was born on Oct. 14, 1938, at Charleston Four Corners. He was the son of the late Bennie and Isalane Lamphear.

He was a member of the Gloversville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He held close to his heart the hope found at Daniel 2:44. His faith in his creator and the love for his family always came first in his life. He had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. As owner of Dave's Electric, he continued working right up to the end, serving his loyal customers. The family would like to thank his customers for their years of loyalty.

Bennie was predeceased by his sister, Mary Martz; and his brother, Ronnie Fish. Survivors include his wife, Dolores Margaret Herrick Lamphear, whom he married on March 5, 1960; his sons, David of Speculator, Wayne of Otego, Irving and his girlfriend, Kimberly Sommer Drake of Saratoga and Earl of Broadalbin; his daughters, Regina Pepper and her husband, William of Broadalbin, and Tammy Lawson and her husband, Clayton of Otego; his brothers, Laverne Fish (Debbie) of Mariaville, Jerome Lamphear (Jackie) of Charleston; his sisters, Elberta Lamphear of Speculator, Ella McDougall of Broadalbin, Nellie and her husband, Ralph Deamer of East Berne, Betsy Reksc and her husband, Michael of Benson. His grandchildren include Will Pepper Jr. and his wife, Crystal, Holly and Bret Pepper, Ruth, Clayton, Elizabeth and Sylvia Lawson, Colin Michael Drake; great-granddaughter, Lucy Pearl Pepper; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 11, at 7 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall, 126 South Kingsboro Avenue in Gloversville. Burial will take place in Speculator, N.Y.
