Three hurt in Broadalbin crash

BROADALBIN - Three people were injured in a two-car accident investigated by Fulton County sheriff's deputies at 11:57 a.m. Saturday on Route 29 at Pine Street in the village.

Deputies said driver Jay W. Ochal, 19, of Box 296, Broadalbin, suffered a head injury and was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Deputies said driver Heather L. Kinney, 37, of 126 Forest St., Gloversville, and passenger Yxlphrm A. Burke, 10, both complained of unspecified injuries and were taken to Nathan Littauer Hospital.

Kinney was traveling east on Route 29, and Ochal was starting from a stop to go south on Pine Street, deputies said. Kinney's car struck Ochal's vehicle, and Ochal's car then struck a pole, which fell over.

Ochal was ticketed on an unspecified charge.
