GLOVERSVILLE - Toni Fazzone, an award-winning stylist, dreamt of opening her own full-service salon, and after months of renovations, now has her own business downtown.
Fazzone opened Toni's Curl Up & Dye about a month ago at 126 W. Fulton St.
She said she decided years ago after hearing the name of her salon in a film that she would use it when the opportunity came for her to open one.

She has about two decades of experience as a stylist at different salons and won an artistic styling award. She placed third in 2011 in a national competition in Las Vegas for teen-girl hair cut and style.
Fazzone and her family moved from Schenectady to Fulton County about eight years ago.
Now she operates a family-oriented salon with competitive pricing. She enjoys designing and cutting everything from funky styles to traditional, more conservative cuts and colors, Fazzone said.
Her salon offers cuts, color, foils, perms and facial waxing.
"The opportunity came up and the time was right," Fazzone said. She worked tirelessly to redo her salon, which was once a barbershop in a storefront closed for the last 12 years.
Toni's Curl Up & Dye is closed Sundays and Mondays. Tuesdays and Wednesdays the salon is open by appointment only. Thursdays and Fridays hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome during business hours.
