Fundraiser a ‘royal’ event

July 6, 2013
The Leader Herald

If you happened to be at the Gloversville Public Library on June 28, you no doubt were surrounded by nearly 40 lovely (and handsome) girls and boys dressed in their "royal attire" who were special guests at the first annual Prince and Princess Party fundraiser organized by the Friends of the Gloversville Library. The children had their photos taken with Miss Fulton County Katelynn Smith and Miss Outstanding Teen Emily Oertel.

They worked on theme-related crafts and enjoyed pink lemonade and delicious cookies. Many thanks to the planning committee, including Nancy Krawczeski, Dina Simpson and Bonnie Howard.

A big thank you to the volunteers at the event, including Irene Hauser, Linda Stevens and Sonny Duross.

Special thanks to the library staff for all their help.

JEAN LaPORTA

President, Friends of the

Gloversville Library
