Book and Bake Sale a boost for library

June 29, 2013
The Leader Herald

The Friends of the Gloversville Public Library would like to thank everyone who helped to make the Friends' June 2013 Book and Bake Sale a huge success.

Thanks to all who donated books, those who came to buy books, and also to those who donated a nice variety of baked goods.

We are extremely lucky to have many dedicated volunteers. Thanks to: Lois Edwards, Ann Mallin, and Kay Fassett for countless hours sorting and organizing books; Sue DeLilli, Antoinette Tropia, Ginni Mazur, Carolyn Goodemote, Bobbi Nigro, Linda Stevens, Anna Brooks, Myrna Longhenry, Grace Lomanto, Bonnie Clizbe, Jean VanPelt, Donna Gendron, JoAnn Clear, Joan Ciacco, Sandy Kicinski, Lynn DiMarco, Patti Hoye, Mary Jane Fredericks, Rosemary Buggeln, Nancy Krawczeski, Mary Lou Warnick, Lisa Buggeln, and Terri Wohlgemuth for working at the sale; to Wanda Ellis for arranging for all the baked goods; and to George Emden, John Mazur and Jim Flint for helping with recycling.

Our next Friends' Book and Bake Sale is scheduled for Oct. 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you would like to donate children's books, adult fiction and non-fiction, DVDs or current magazines, you may leave them at the front desk or call the library (725-2819) to arrange for pickup.

Thank you again for supporting the Gloversville Public Library.
