The Leader Herald

GLOVERSVILLE - A city woman was arrested on Wednesday and charged with criminal tampering after she spent nearly four hours in the bathroom at a Subway shop making a mess with paper towels and toilet paper, police said.

Rebecca Zuckerwar, 27, of 21 Carpenter St., was arrested by city police and charged with criminal tampering and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.

Police said officers were dispatched to the Subway store on Church Street at 2:14 p.m. on a report someone may be having a medical emergency in the bathroom.

However, police said, it was later determined Zuckerwar had been in the bathroom since 10:30 a.m. making a mess with paper towels and toilet paper. There was no medical emergency, police said.

Zuckerwar resisted officers as they attempted to take her into custody, police said.

She was arraigned and sent to Fulton County Jail in lieu of $250 cash bail.
