Many to thank for making benefit great

On May 18, I held the second annual Rock N Show for Cancer to Benefit the Relay for Life.

I would like to thank all those who made donations or sponsored a trophy: Advanced Auto (Johnstown), Aldi's, Auto Zone (Johnstown), Stewart's Shops, Pizza Hut (Johnstown), Railside Cafe, Johnstown Price Chopper, Stewart's (Mayfield), Hotrodhotline, 4 Sight, Busted Knuckle Garage, Eagle Property Management, Dal Hollow Autobody, Lonely Customs, Juststrobes.com, Napa of Johnstown/Gloversville, Putman Enterprise, Sampson Motorcar Towing/Sales, Wayne Smith Construction and Final Rewards Trophy.

A special thank you to my "best pie" judges - K-9 officer Wayne Peters, Tom Roehl (WENT), Miss Fulton County 2013 Katelynn Smith, Bill Trojan (The Leader-Herald).

I also need to thank the Fulton County Sheriff's Association (Stephanie Simek and Debbie Bagtaglia) for doing Operation Safe Child registration, K-9 officer Wayne Peters and officer Loomis and their K-9 partners, Kyle's Bounce House Rentals, Laura Liehti (Walking Live instructor), James Taylor, Fage USA Dairy Industry Inc. and Matt/ Nick of the Johnstown Area Community Center.

To Tiffany, Kiara, Art and Carol (mom) - thank you for all your help that day.

A big thank you to all my car show people; without you, there would be no show.

The trophy winners were Don and Dianne Philip, who got Best of Show for their 1934 Ford.

The top 10 were: Don Lent, 1968 El Camino; Bill Schwabrow, 1956 Mercury custom; Gary/Nancy Bates, 1965 Pontiac Catalina; Dave Insognia, 1948 Austin; Jack Delyser, 1937 Ford; Joan Scott, 1972 Riviera; John Simons, 1968 Mustang; Bob/Deb Landrio, 1928 Fordar; Susan Vaura, Saturn Sky; and Phil Detraglia, 1987 Firebird.

The specialty winner was Jim Shepard and his 1923 T-Bucket.

The motorcycle winner was Maryln Voght and her breast-cancer bike.

The winner of the best pie contest was Susan Vaura for her strawberry/peach pie. Tied for second were Janet with her apple pie and Carol Duffek with her strawberry/rhubarb pie.
