Helena M. Kilgore

Helena M. Kilgore, 80, of St. Johnsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2013, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on March 19, 1933, in St. Johnsville to the late Harry A. Smith and Dorothy Foster. Helena was a graduate of the St. Johnsville Central School District.

She married Charles Fitzpatrick in 1951. She later married Charles Kilgore, who passed away on March 13, 2012.

Helena was employed as an account clerk by the St. Johnsville Central School District for several years. Helena later worked at the Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery BOCES in the positions of board clerk, treasurer and account clerk, retiring in 2007 with over thirty years of service.

She was pre-deceased by a sister, Eleanor M. Smith; and two brothers, Richard A. Smith and Harry A. Smith Jr.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda (Richard Morley) Capece-Morley of Johnstown, Kathy (Gordon) Bruno of Vernon, N.Y. and Colleen (Wayne) Horender of Little Falls; six cherished grandchildren, Kimberly (Kenny) Smith of Orlando, Fla., Anthony (Renee) Capece of Gig Harbor, Wash., Angela Bruno of Utica, Stacey Genther of Westmoreland, Justin Horender of Little Falls, and Alyssa Horender of St. Johnsville. Helena is also survived by five loving great-grandchildren, Britton Smith, Sophie Foster Smith, Ashlyn Genther, Camryn Genther, and Charlotte Capece.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY. Burial will follow at St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. All contributions in Helena's memorial may be made to either the American Cancer Society, P.O.
