3-way GOP primary possible in city

June 20, 2013
The Leader Herald

JOHNSTOWN - A possible three-way Republican primary for city mayor may be in the works for September.

Currently, two GOP candidates have announced they are running for mayor, which sets up a two-way primary. Those candidates are Republicans Helen Martin and Scott Jeffers.

Fulton County Deputy Election Commissioner Linda Madison said Republican Larry Razzano on Monday also picked up petitions from the board office to run for mayor.

Razzano, owner of Larry Razzano Leather and Scrap of North Perry Street, said Wednesday he won't formally announce his political ambitions until after he files election petitions. Major party candidates have from July 8 to 11 to file designating petitions.
