The Leader Herald

Mrs. Ada H. Hotaling, formerly of Mergner Road, Fort Johnson, died peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2013, at the Edward. L. Wilkinson RHCF following a brief illness. She was in her 100th year. Born on December 18th, 1913 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Hazel Stocker Hoggett.

Ada worked at several establishments throughout the area including, W. J. Frederick & Son Florist, Mohawk Printing, Hudson's Market in Pattersonville and Tessiero's Apothecary in Amsterdam. She was a member of the Sir William Johnson Seniors, the Montgomery and Schoharie County Historical Society's and the Walter Elwood Nature Club.

A woman of quick wit and opinion, you always knew what she was thinking. She enjoyed gardening and loved her animals. Above all else, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She certainly will be missed.
