Ida A. Digiacomo, 96, of Gloversville died June 11, 2013 in Lakeland Florida. Born in Hastoria, NY September 25, 1916 she was the daughter of Frank and Anna Russo Landrio. Ida was a glove worker who worked at Grandoe Co. retiring in 1981. She was a communicant of Church of the Holy Spirit and its, womens society, member of the 55+ Senior Citizens where she was Citizen of the year in 1987 and a member of the Shirley Luck Senior Citizens, and the Catholic War Veterans womens auxillary. Ida was the life of any party who loved to dance and just have a good ole time. She was also an avid bingo player, playing at many bingo sites in the area. On June 23, 1946 she married Pasquale Digiacomo who died in 1980. Survivors include her son Daniel (Robin) Digiacomo of Cohoes, NY, daughter Jeanne (Stuart) Sutherland of Lakeland ,Florida, grandchildren Jeffery (April) Pannone, Taryn (Victor) Dadario, and Dayna Digiacomo 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by 3 brothers,1 sister, 5 half brothers and 2 half sisters. Friends may call Monday 4-7 PM at Amico Funeral Home, 150 South Main St, Gloversville, where a prayer service will be held Tuesday 9:30 AM, followed by a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Church of the Holy Spirit. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
