Library offers reading program

FONDA - The Frothingham Free Library, 28 W. Main St., will begin registration for the 2013 Summer Reading Program Dig Into Reading on Monday.

The summer reading program is for children and young adults ages 1 to 18. The registration and all programs are free, according to a news release.

For each book read, a ticket will be filled out for prizes awarded weekly, June 24 through Aug. 14. Everyone who reads five or more books during the program will receive a book at the awards party Aug. 14.

The programs will begin June 24 and include music, art, writing and science.

The complete summer schedule is available at the library or on Facebook.

Children must be accompanied by an adult to all programs. All programs must be registered for by calling the library at 853-3016 during library hours, which are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; from noon to 7 p.m. Friday; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, the news release said.
