The flood watch started this morning and will remain in effect through Saturday morning, a news release said.
Forecasted rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches and elevated river and stream levels could result in flooding, the release said. Runoff is expected to be higher than usual due to the nearly saturated ground.
Rainfall is expected to be heavy at times into this evening, the release said, before tapering off late at night.
The flood watch is in effect for much of the Capital?Region, including parts of Saratoga and Schenectady counties.
