GLOVERSVILLE - City police said a woman was arrested Monday night after she crashed her vehicle into a concrete wall in front of Antonucci's Produce.

Patricia J. Smith, 47, of 62 Orchard St., was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent and reckless driving.

Police said while on patrol, an officer saw Smith operating her vehicle at a high rate of speed on Broad Street. As the officer tried to make a vehicle stop on South Main Street, police said, Smith failed to negotiate a turn at the intersection of South Main Street and Lexington Avenue, leading her to hit the concrete wall in front of Antonucci's Produce.

The vehicle sustained heavy damage. Smith had no injuries, police said.

Police said during the investigation it was learned Smith was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

She was released to appear in City Court at a later date.
