Rain causes street flooding

June 11, 2013
The Leader Herald

Heavy rain overnight caused some flooding problems locally. Barricades blocked the entrance of South Boulevard at the intersection with Harrison Street in Gloversville this morning after the Cayadutta Creek flooded. The creek also flooded on Bleecker Street near West Eighth Avenue.

Steve DiRienzo, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said 2 inches of rain fell in the area as of around 4 a.m. today. He said the weather is expected to clear up going into Wednesday.
