Iroquois Seniors plan road trip

TRIBES HILL - The May 30 meeting of the Tribes Hill Iroquois Seniors was called to order by President Bev Fox.

Chaplain Martha Hensel led members in the opening prayer, Pledge of Allegiance, and a poem, "A New Day."

Fox announced the birthdays for June are Harriet Zurlo, Emily Sorbero, Adele Lennon, Dot Gomulka and Winnie Wozniak; and the anniversaries are Dot and Dick Gomulka, Elaine and Theron Hoyt, Barbara and Bill Lampkin and Cindy and Tracy Edwards.

Fox announced the June coffee committee: Bob Curtiss, Sorbero, Bill Lampkin and Fox.

The roll call was taken by Vice President Jeanne Angus with 29 members and two guests (perspective members), Sylvia Burroughs and Pat Morreale present.

The secretary's report for May 16 was accepted as read.

The treasurer's report was read and will be filed for audit.

Signups and payments are being taken for the June 20 day trip to the Mohonk Mountain Resort, New Paltz, Ulster County. The trip includes lunch and activities of choice.

In the sunshine report, cards were sent to absent members.

Fox donated a hanging plant basket. Raffle tickets were sold and the plant was won by Elaine Hoyt.

The meeting adjourned.

Martha Hensel closed the meeting with "Our Father," the closing prayer and a thought for the day. Bingo followed.
