Bruce named all-star

GLOVERSVILLE - Gloversville's Scotty Bruce was the lone area selection on the recently announced Foothills Council boys tennis all-star team.

Bruce went 10-3 on the season for the Huskies, who finished with a 7-4 overall record and placed second in the league standings with a 7-3 mark.

Queensbury went 9-1 in league play to win the Foothills Council title. The Spartans, who were 14-3 overall, had Alex Castonguay and Josh Silverberg selected to the all-star team.

Scotia-Glenville, which went 6-4 in league play to finish third, had Adam Ashcroft and Aaron Keegan to the all-star team.

South Glens Falls had Jack Greenier and Seth Weinberger named to the all-star team.

Also named Foothills Council all-stars were Glens Falls' Jack Balton and Hudson Falls' Tom Strong.
