Richard A. Joslin Sr., 73, of North Main Street, Gloversville, died Friday May 31, 2013, at home. He was born in Rome, N.Y., on September 21, 1939, the son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Simser Joslin. He was a graduate of the Utica Free Academy in Utica, N.Y.
Mr. Joslin was a United States Navy Veteran serving from 1959-1963. He was employed as a salesman for House of Furniture until his retirement in 2002.
He was a member of the Ancient Order of Foresters for many years and past Governor.
On July 2, 1988 he married Joan Ballweber Joslin who survives.
He is also survived by: his children, Richard A. (Susan) Joslin Jr., Scott M. (Beth) Joslin, Karl Fisher, Cynthia (Doug) Galpin, and Karen (Patrick) McHenry; one sister, Barbara Kanyock; 10 grandchildren, Chelsea Galpin, Kasey Joslin, Clark Joslin, Nicholas Joslin, Connor Joslin, Rebecca Joslin, Daniel McHenry, Kimberly McHenry, Matthew Fisher and Eric Fisher; and several nieces and nephews.
