OPPENHEIM - A St. Johnsville all-terrain vehicle operator was injured and later charged with a drinking-and-driving offense after a head-on collision involving a pickup truck Sunday.

Deputies said ATV operator Eric J. Schuyler, 37, of 7967 Route 5, Lot 5, St. Johnsville, was ticketed on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, and illegally operating an ATV while on a highway.

Fulton County sheriff's deputies said the accident occurred at 12:41 a.m. on County Highway 151, north of Stahl Road.

Deputies said Schuyler was traveling north on County Highway 151 in the left lane and the ATV struck a pickup truck operated by Paul W. Rubas Jr., 19, of 7215 Route 29, Dolgeville, head-on.

Schuyler suffered an arm fracture. He was taken to Little Falls Hospital.
