Dale C. Hample, age 85, of Gloversville, N.Y., passed away peacefully on May 22, 2013, at the Glendale Nursing Home in Scotia, N.Y. He was born on March 24, 1928, in Gloversville, the son of the late Edward and Florence Campbell Hample. He was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Gloversville High School. Mr. Hample honorably served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1947 to 1952 and the United States Air Force from 1957 until he was honarbly discharged in 1961. He was employed in the glove industry and worked for the Perrella Glove Company of Gloversville. He is survived by his sister, Phylis Slater of Utica, N.Y.; three nephews, Gary Ulrich (Colleen) of Mayfield, N.Y., Rick Slater (Maureen) of Roxbury, N.Y. and David Ulrich; two nieces, Lori Scott of Clark Mills, N.Y. and Debbie Ulrich of Guilderland. He was predeceased by Athalia (Jeanne) Ulrich.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the John W. Finocan Funeral Home Inc., 13 Prospect Ave., Gloversville. A graveside service will follow at the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville, with Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.finocanfh.com.
