‘Family fun day’ resolution pulled

May 14, 2013
The Leader Herald

JOHNSTOWN - The Fulton County Board of Supervisors on Monday was going to consider a request by embattled Sno Kone Joe ice cream truck operator Joshua Malatino to conduct a "family fun day" Aug. 10 at the county airport, but the resolution was pulled by Chairman William Waldron.

"The chairman [has] decided to withdraw this at this time," county Administrative Officer Jon Stead announced to the board.

Malatino, 34, and co-ice cream vendor Amanda C. Scott, 21, both of 62 East Blvd., Gloversville, were charged recently by Gloversville police for the alleged harassment of Mr. Ding-A-Ling truck operator Phillip Hollister.

Malatino requested the county allow him to conduct the special free day at the airport, which he said could feature a car show, clowns, food vendors, games, bounce houses and other activities.
