H.S. Softball Roundup: South Glens Falls cruises past Gloversville, 14-0

SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Amber Bourdeau threw a no-hitter, leading South Glens Falls to a 14-0 win over Gloversville in a Foothills Council softball game Monday.

Bourdeau, who improved to 5-1 on the season, struck out eight and walked none on her way to the complete-game win.

Emily Sharpe had a single, double, home run and five RBIs for South Glens Falls (16-3 overall, 12-1 Foothills), while Mallory Celeste was 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

Gloversville slipped to 4-14 overall and 1-12 in Foothills Council play with the loss.

Hudson Falls 11, Johnstown 4

HUDSON FALLS - Nicole Sheloski went 3 for 4 with a double and a home run, powering Hudson Falls to a Foothills Council win over Johnstown.

Ellie Gonyeau was 4-for-5 with two doubles for Hudson Falls (9-4 overall, 9-4 Foothills), while Meghan Barton was 3-for-4. Meghan McDonald added two doubles for the Tigers.

Alexis Swatt had two doubles for Johnstown (6-11 overall, 3-10 Foothills).

QUEENSBURY - Emily Moses singled twice and had two RBIs, leading Glens Falls to a win over Broadalbin-Perth.

Rachael Lashway and Emily Gorham combined on a one-hitter for the Indians.

Broadalbin-Perth slipped to 5-9 overall and 5-8 in Foothills Council play with the loss.

The Tartans improved to 7-5 in Foothills play wihth the win, while Queensbury slipped to 10-3 in the Foothills Council.

CANAJOHARIE - Taylor Fancher was 3-for-5 with four RBIs and four runs scored, leading Canajoharie to a Western Athletic Conference crossover win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Morgan Gray had a double, two singles, an RBI and four runs scored for Canajoharie (6-7 overall), while Megan Balfe was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Bri Slater and Lauren Balfe each went 2-for-3 for the Lady Cougars.

Gabby Audino was 4-for-5 for Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Sam Hart pitched a two-hitter to earn the complete-game win in the circle. Hart struck out six and walked two for the Lady Braves.
