JOHNSTOWN - A Mayfield woman was charged by Fulton County sheriff's deputies Wednesday after authorities said she left three small children unattended in her vehicle at the Department of Social Services building.

Deputies said Alicia M. Taylor, 25, of 141 County Highway 102, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Deputies said she was charged at 11:55 a.m. at the DSS building, 4 Daisy Lane. Deputies said Taylor entered the building to drop off documents, and they learned she left three children younger than age 5 in her eight-passenger minivan. The keys were in the ignition and the vehicle was unlocked, deputies said.

One child was climbing over a rear bench seat, while another was chewing on a small plastic child's toothbrush, deputies said. The children were left unsupervised for 10 minutes, deputies said.

Taylor will appear later in City Court.
