JOHNSTOWN - A Northville man was charged by city police Wednesday with felony grand larceny, accused of frauding the U.S. Social Security Administration out of more than $18,000 when he lived in Johnstown.

Police said Ronald E. Hart, 62, of 2077 Route 6/Benson Road, was charged at 11:30 a.m. with third-degree grand larceny.

He was arraigned in City Court and released to reappear later in either City Court or Fulton County Court.

Police said the Social Security Administration filed a complaint with city police. The complaint accuses Hart of fraudulently receiving $18,600 of Social Security supplemental income while he lived at 110 Byard St. from Aug. 1, 2010, through Dec. 1, 2012.
