Betty L. Fancher, age 75, of Gloversville, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, after a brief illness.
Born on December 29, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James Worley and Lee Berenger Worley.
She was a 1955 graduate of Gloversville High School. Betty was employed with Lexington for over 23 years until her retirement. Mrs. Fancher was active in the 50 Plus Club, Senior Center, YMCA, and Painting Club. She was very family oriented, liked to travel, fish, camp, watch the grandkids play sports, arts, crafts and attending craft fairs.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Donald Fancher; her children, Mark (Toni) Fancher, Todd (Tammy) Fancher, Renee Creamer, Susan Case, Eric (Shawn) Fancher and Chad (Meredith) Fancher; one sister, Penny (David) Zandy; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brad, Michael, Sierra, Acacia, Garrett, Taylor, John Kelly, Darien and Madison; great-grandchildren, Brant, Gracie, Mackenzie, Noah, Keeley, Leah, Kadence; one cousin, Nancy Derrico; and three nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. The Rev. Dr. R. W. Williams will officiate.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday prior to the service from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation was at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
Interment and committal service will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, at the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
