H.S. Baseball Roundup: B-P tops Glens Falls

GLENS FALLS - The Patriots were a perfect 7 for 7 in stealing bases against Glens Falls Monday as they moved into a tie for third in the Foothills Council standings with a 5-2 win over Glens Falls.

Tim Gordon led B-P with two singles and two RBIs, while Anthony Payne contributed two singles and two stolen bases.

Anthony Visco picked up the complete game four-hitter for the Patriots (7-4 overall, 4-3 Foothills).

Dylan O'Sick doubled twice for Glens Falls.

GLOVERSVILLE - Wet weather forced the postponement of Gloversville's home game with Hudson Falls on Monday.

The game was rescheduled for today at 4:30 p.m. at Husky Field.

SCOTIA - Mitch Forshey pitched a one-hitter to lead Scotia-Glenville to a shutout win over South Glens Falls.

Forshey improved to 3-1, striking out 14 on his way to the complete-game win.

Forshey also went 4-for-4 with a triple for the Tartans (6-4 overall, 5-2 Foothills).

Anthony Musto went 4-for-4 with a triple for Scotia-Glenville, while Mart McCollum had four hits, three runs scored and two RBIs.

SCHOHARIE - Colden Glover had two doubles, two singles and three RBIs to lead Mayfield to an eight-inning win over Schoharie.

Riley Yager finished with three singles for Mayfield (4-9 overall, 4-7 WAC), while Bobby Gates added a triple, single and two RBIs.

Luke VanNostrand had a single and two RBIs, while Matt Messina had a single and an RBI. Ryan Hennessy and Jordan VanNostrand added singles for the Panthers.

Evan Ottman had two singles and three RBIs for Schoharie (4-4 overall, 4-3 WAC), while Devan Brooks had two singles and two RBIs.

The Cougars scored 10 times in the third inning and finished with 21 hits on their way to the win.

Karl Gustafson was 3-for-4 with a triple for Canajoharie (7-2 overall, 7-2 WAC), while Kyle McLaughlin was 3-for-6.

Zach Bowerman was 2-for-3 with a double for the Cougars.

Macklin Norray was 3-for-5 with double and triple for Berne-Knox-Westerlo (3-8 overall, 3-6 WAC).

Vicciarelli struck out 15 on his way to the complete-game win.

St. Johnsville scored seven runs in the sixth inning to seal the win.

Ben Grant had two-run single for St. Johnsville (4-6 overall, 3-6 WAC), while Dylan Klock had a triple and a single. Kyle Smith added a double for the Saints.

Asa Snyder had the lone hit for Middleburgh (1-9 overall, 1-9 WAC).

Brandon Baker and Baylee Hall each had two singles and an RBI for FFCS (6-3 overall, 5-2 Colonial), while Lucas Calkins was 2-for-4 with a double. Anthony Sinicropi had a double for the Braves, while Zack Valachovic added a single and an RBI.
