JHS girls lacrosse loses to Greenwich

GREENWICH - Kayla Gorman had four goals and an assist to lead Greenwich to a 12-11 win over Johnstown in a Foothills Council girls lacrosse game Wednesday.

Maria Patane finished with three goals for the Witches, while Emma Stein had two goals and an assist.

Courtnie Harrington had a goal and an assist for Greenwich, while Kaitlyn Coldwell also scored. Monica Dore and Jade Harrington each had an assist for the Witches, who avenged an 11-3 loss at Johnstown on April 8.

Skylar Swatt scored five goals to lead Johnstown (2-6 overall, 1-5 Foothills)

Megan Anagnostopulos and Emma Heroth each had two goals and an assist for the Lady Bills, while Kendra McCoy had a goal and four assists.

Mikaela Etherton also scored for Johnstown, while Emily Smrtic and Molly Morrison each had an assist.

Sam Perry and Laurel Becker each made three saves for Greenwich, while Alexis Livingstone and Alyssa Nellis combined to make 11 saves.
