H.S. Baseball Roundup: Fort Plain tops Mayfield, 13-5

MAYFIELD - John Fureno had three hits and two RBIs, leading Fort Plain to a 13-5 Western Athletic Conference win over Mayfield on Saturday.

The Hilltoppers scored seven runs in the second innings on their way to the victory.

Kiernan Briggs had three hits, three runs scored and four stolen bases for the Hilltoppers,

Zach Sweet and Trenton Douglass each had two hits for Fort Plain (5-0 overall, 5-0 WAC).

Marcus Failing, Chris Hanifin, Dakota Nemechek, Alex Bleichner, Aiden VanLoan, and Tim Wolfe each had a hit for Fort Plain.

Sweet finished with three RBIs for the Hilltoppers.

Colden Glover and Jordan VanNostrand each had doubles for Mayfield (2-5 overall, 2-4 WAC), while Matt Messina added a single.

St. Johnsville 13, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 3

BERNE - St. Johnsville scored nine time in the top of the seventh to post a win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Payten Johnson four hits for the Saints, including two doubles and three RBIs. John Vicciarelli had three singles for St. Johnsville (3-2 overall, 2-2 WAC), while Dylan Klock and Alex Hart each had two singles.

Kyle Gibbs had a double for Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Little Falls 17, Dolgeville 1

LITTLE FALLS - Luke Godlewski threw a no-hitter, leading Little Falls to a win over Dolgeville on Friday.

The Mounties led 3-0 after two innings, but broke the game open with a nine-run outburst in the third.

Tyler Baumeister had a double and a triple for Little Falls (3-2 overall, 2-1 CSC), while Theo Wind had two doubles.

Kasey Foster took the loss on the mound for Dolgeville (1-2 overall, 1-2 CSC).
