FMCC baseball splits doubleheader

PLATTSBURGH - The Fulton-Montgomery Community College baseball team earned a doubleheader split with Clinton Community College on Thursday.

Clinton won the first game 6-3 before FMCC bounced back to win the second game 17-2.

In the first game, Anthony Porcelli and Eric Rock combined on a seven-hitter for Clinton.

Joe Tolosky had a three-run home run for the Cougars, while Jamie Davidson had two hits.

Zeb Gaston and Greg Ruddy each had singles for FMCC.

In the second game, FMCC pounded out 13 hits on its way to the win. Dylan Pechtel had a double and a triple for FMCC, while Ruddy added a double. Shawn Strong hit a home run for the Raiders.

Rock had two hits for Clinton.

FMCC is scheduled to travel to Herkimer today for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
