GLOVERSVILLE-Two male teens were arrested by the city Police Department after an investigation into a reported burglary at the Gloversville Middle School.

Police said the burglary occurred on April 6, at about 11:30 p.m.

Police said the boys gained entry to the school by breaking a window pane in an entry door and then caused approximately $1,341 in damage while in the school.

Detective Mike Calbet said the teens damaged a window, a musical instrument and a table and chair set.

Calbet said the things that were stolen were miscellaneous items but "nothing of extreme value."

Calbet said all of the items taken have been recovered.

Police said an investigation determined both boys stole property from within the school.

The boys were each charged with one count of third-degree burglary, a felony, third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Both were arraigned by City Court Judge Traci DiMezza and released on unsecured bail.

Police said the boys photos, names and addresses have been intentionally omitted from the news release until their youthful offender status has been determined.
