Wet weather alters local schedule

Thursday's wet weather forced the postponement of several area athletic contests.

The Gloversville baseball team had its home game with Queensbury postponed with no make-up date set.

Gloversville also altered the schedule for its annual baseball tournament, which was scheduled for today and Saturday.

The first round will now take place Saturday, with Schuylerville facing Fonda-Fultonville at 3 p.m. and Gloversville facing Broadalbin-Perth at 6 p.m.

The championship game and consolation games will take place at 6 and 3 p.m., respectively, April 20 at Husky Field.

The Fonda-Fultonville baseball and softball teams had their home games with Voorheesville postponed Thursday with no make-up date set.

The Fulton-Montgomery Community College baseball team had its home doubleheader with Hudson Valley Community College moved to May 7 at 2 p.m.

Johnstown moved today's home game with South Glens Falls to next Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

The FMCC softball team had Thursday's game at SUNY Adirondack postponed with no make-up date set.

The Canajoharie baseball team postponed today's home game with Schoharie to May 2.
