B-P softball edges Scotia-Glenville

SCOTIA - Nicole Traver pitched a one-hit shutout to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a 1-0 win over Scotia-Glenville in a Foothills Council softball game Thursday.

Traver struck out six and walked four to earn the complete game win for B-P (1-1 overall, 1-0 Foothills).

Ciarra Dickson scored the game's only run in the top of the seventh inning. After leading off with a double, Dickson scored on a Scotia-Glenville error on a bunt by Courtney Oare.

Scotia-Glenville pitcher Jen Mayette pitched a two-hitter, striking out 12. Lauren Melanson had the lone hit for the Lady Tartans.
