Shirley A. Nourse, 77, of Gloversville, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 16, 1935, to the late Edwin and Abby Crannell Bennett. Shirley will be remembered for her devotion and love of family, arts and crafts, and shopping.
She always had an upbeat personality and a smile for everyone.
On November 16, 1991, she married Stanley Nourse Sr.

Shirley is survived by: her husband, Stanley of Gloversville; her children, Robert (Rose) Shanahan of Gloversville, Cathy (Dan) Kiskis of Florida, John (Edie) Shanahan, Nancy (Robert) Deming, Michael (Maria) Shanahan, all of Gloversville; stepchildren, Sharon (John) Zonak, Jerry, Jeff and Greg Playford, all of Gloversville, Connie Playford of South Glens Falls and Stanley (Debbie) Nourse Jr. of Mayfield; also her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Shirley was predeceased by her first husband, Arthur Shanahan; her siblings, William and Claude Bennett, and Dorothy Boyer.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Amico Funeral Home, 150 South Main Street, Gloversville, followed by a 4 p.m. funeral service to be held at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Leatherstocking Crematory, Cherry Valley, N.Y.
