FMCC baseball splits doubleheader

JOHNSTOWN - The Fulton-Montgomery Community College baseball team split a doubleheader with Schenectady County Community College on Saturday,

In the first game, the Raiders posted a 5-4 win over the Royals.

Matt Snyder earned the win on the mound for FMCC, striking out 14 and pitching a complete-game two-hitter.

Dylan Pechtel was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for the Raiders.

Amsterdam graduate Ryan Brinkman took the loss on the mound for the Royals.

In the second game, Schenectady County (9-4 overall) scored eight times in the seventh inning on its way to a 16-4 win over FMCC.

Avery Ford was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Raiders.

FMCC (5-10 overall, 1-1 MVC) will travel to Schenectady County today for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
