Jean B. Beyer Griffiths

Jean B. Beyer Griffiths, 71, of Hagaman, N.Y., went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and greatly missed by all who knew her.

Born in Amsterdam, Jean was the daughter of Beatrice Beyer and the late Ernest Beyer.

She spent several years of her life helping and assisting others as a home health aide.

Jean had several hobbies in her life. She loved to cook and sew but also enjoyed making crafts and tending to her garden.

Family always was a priority of Jean's and raised six kids after the early passing of her husband, David Buckley Griffiths, in September of 1977.

She loved all her family but her eight grandchildren had held a special place in her heart.

Jean is survived by: her children, David Griffiths (Mindy) of Pocatello, Idaho, Monte Griffiths (Shauna) of Pocatello, Idaho, Tye Griffiths of Gloversville, N.Y., Kim Griffiths of Pocatello Idaho, Victoria Griffiths of Hagaman, N.Y. and Ginger Muscatiello (Anthony) of Waterford, N.Y.

Her mother, Beatrice Beyer of Amsterdam, N.Y., also survives.

Several sisters and a brother survive. She was predeceased by not only by her husband, David, but also her father, Ernest Beyer. Jean also was predeceased by her companion and friend, Joseph Mack Sr.

The family invites relatives and friends to attend a calling period from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 417 Steele Ave. Ext., Gloversville, NY 12078.

A service will follow the calling period at 1 p.m.

Immediately following all services, an interment is scheduled at Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam, N.Y.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, Amsterdam.
