SYRACUSE - Johnstown's Jimmy Marshall rolled a 1,247 six-game series, helping Section II to a third-place finish at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association championships Sunday at Strike N Spare Lanes.
Marshall rolled a 225 high game and a 631 series in the first session and a 239-616 in the second. Section II had a total pin count of 6,579.
Section XI won the tournament with a six-game pin count of 6,804.
