MAYFIELD - The Mayfield Teachers Association will host its annual scholarship basketball game Friday in the Mayfield High School gymnasium.
The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and game time is set for 6 p.m.
Admission will be $3 at the door.
The teachers of the Mayfield Central School District organize and participate in the night of basketball and community fun to raise money for the annual scholarship funds.
Hundreds of dollars have been awarded to Mayfield seniors each year in the form of a college scholarship.
The process for the MTA game this year will be awarded to three college-bound seniors in recognition of their academic excellence.
The 2011-12 scholarship winners were Matt Montgomery, Mitchell Brower and David Krutz.
There are a variety of activities planned for the evening including: boys fifth- and sixth-grade basketball game, a halftime show featuring the elementary precision team and drama club, a girls fifth- and sixth-grade basketball game, halftime show featuring the high school cheerleaders, basket raffle, 50-50 raffle, class of 2013 vs. Mayfield staff game and a half-court shooting contest.
