She returned home to Gloversville due to illness and stayed here to raise her children and grandchildren. Donna had a deep love and was devoted to her family.

Donna had a lifelong love of learning and attended classes at Fulton-Montgomery Community College. She was an avid advocate for women's rights, civil rights, justice and integrity. She encouraged education and hard work in her home and passed these values to her family.

Besides her parents, Donna was predeceased by her brother, Robert Munn; beloved aunt, Catherine Hoffman; and a nephew, John Munn.

She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Ellen (Dan R.) Henry of Johnstown and Sheri Lynn (Donald) Gifford of Gloversville; and five wonderful grandchildren whom she deeply loved: Alyssa C. Henry, Andrew, Chelsea, Alexander and Emily Gifford. She is also survived by a very dear friend, Bruce Young, who was at her side during her final two weeks, caring, talking, smiling and reminiscing. Donna's final wish was to spend her last days at her home and with Bruce's help that request was fulfilled.

At Donna's request funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville, NY 12078.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville.
