GLOVERSVILLE- City Police said a man was arrested after he pushed his wife and spit in her face during a family dispute on Monday.
CJ Benjamin, 35, of 84 First Ave. was arrested by city police and charged with second-degree harassment, a violation, and first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony.
Police said they were dispatched to the First Avenue residence for a family offense after Benjamin allegedly pushed his wife and spit in her face.
He was taken into custody for alleged harassment, and police said they later learned there was a stay-away order of protection, and Benjamin was charged with criminal contempt.
He was held for arraignment.
