Mrs. Eunice M. Christiano, 75, passed away February 15, 2013, at the Fulton Center. She was born November 29, 1937, in Northville, daughter of the late John and Lena Ellsworth Knowles. Mrs. Christiano was educated in local schools and employed at Park Terrace School for a time and also as a health aide at the former Fulton County Infirmary. Eunice was a loving mother and a great cook. She enjoyed babysitting for her family whenever possible and sharing her special crochet items. Eunice was married to Carl Christiano Sr., who predeceased her in 1976.
She is survived by three sons: David Ayers (Jeanine Arrunategui) of Johnstown, Greg Christiano (Charity) and Kevin Shields, all of Gloversville.
Eunice is also survived by a brother, Mark Knowles of Texas, a sister, Eileen Buseck of Northville, five grandchildren, Carrie, Heather, D.J., Matthew, and Joslynn; two great grandchildren, Rachel and Alexandra; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Additional survivors include step-children Carl Christiano Jr., Lucy and Myrna, and step-grandchildren Chariesse and Jake. She was predeceased by a daughter, Shelley Knowles, and a son, Eric Christiano.
A funeral will be held 10 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2013, at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville, with the Reverend Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
