SCHENECTADY - Johnstown's Jim Marshall rolled a six-game series of 1,412 to earn a spot on the Section II state bowling team Wednesday at the Section II Class B Tournament at Boulevard Bowl.
Marshall is the first area bowler to reach the state tournament since Johnstown's Tommy Marshall competed at the state tourney in 2010.
Marshall had a high three-game series of 727 for the Sir Bills. He also rolled a 685 series.
Morgan Ruggeri added a six-game series of 1,122 for Johnstown with a high game of 213.
Andrew Bentley and Josh Fuller rolled high games of 212 and 201, respectively, for the Sir Bills.
Mohonasen won the team title with a total of 6,183 pins, while Lansingburgh (5,970 pins) was second and Hudson Falls (5,827) was third.
Broadalbin-Perth (5,562) was eighth, Johnstown (5,458) was 11th and Gloversville (5,089) was 17th.
