Robert C. Rumrill

Robert C. Rumrill, age 89, of Johnstown, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam after a long illness.

Mr. Rumrill was born on October 2, 1923, in Stratford, a son of the late Carl Rumrill and Delida Vorhees Rumrill.

Robert honorably served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. He worked for many years as a truck driver for Dan's Excavating. Mr. Rumrill was a member of the Johnstown Moose and the Broadalbin VFW.

Mr. Rumrill is survived by: his wife, Josephine Mary (Prahm) Rumrill, whom he married on December 24, 1988; five children; two stepchildren; one sister, Dorothy Chrisman of Little Falls; and several grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by six siblings.

In keeping with Robert's wishes, there will no calling hours or funeral service.

Private Cremation was at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to St. Mary's Institute K-8, 10 Kopernik Boulevard, Amsterdam, NY 12010.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
