QUEENSBURY - The Johnstown boys and girls alpine ski teams competed in the Glens Falls Invitational at West Mountain on Wednesday.
The Johnstown boys finished eighth in the team standings, while the girls finished fifth.
Sara Kosowicz led the Johnstown girls with a 10-place finish in the one-run slalom event, posting a time of 39.16 seconds.
Shenendehowa's Julia Kruk won the girls race with a time of 33.43 seconds, while Queensbury's Julia Sante and Shenendehowa's Kirsten Kruk tied for second at 34.94 seconds.
Queensbury's Olivia Paolano and Katie Zilka were fourth and fifth, respectively, with time of 36.01 and 37.35 seconds.
Shenendehowa won the girls team title with a total of 9.5 points as it placed three skiers in the top six.
Queensbury (11.5 points) was second, Saratoga Springs (44) was third, Albany Academy (73) was fourth and Johnstown was fifth with 74 points.
Hannah Keener (48.24 seconds) was 30th for the Lady Bills, while Serena Smith (49.17) was 34th. Emily Havlicek (52.08) was 41st for Johnstown, Whitney Western (54.84) was 43rd, Reilly Kotwasinski (55.35) was 44th and Helaina Stergas (1:03.09) was 56th.
In the boys race, Colin Dalmata led Johnstown, placing 11th with a time of 38.36 seconds in the one-run slalom event.
Saratoga Springs' Kieran Mottau won the boys race with a time of 33.00 seconds. Christian Brothers Academy's Mike Merecki (33.95 seconds) was second, Theodore Korenowski (34.91) was third, Shenendehowa's T.J. Kruk (35.51) was fourth and Lake George's Cooper Perkett (35.80) was fifth.
Stillwater won the boys team title with a total of 31 points. Saratoga Springs was second with 35 points, Queensbury (37 points) was third, Shenendehowa (42) was fourth and Niskayuna (63) was fifth. Johnstown was eighth with 73 points.
Joel Levin (40.61 seconds) was 22nd for the Sir Bills, while Nick Salatel (47/16) was 40th. Zack Simone (50.26) was 47th for Johnstown, Lukas Levin (54.10) was 51st, Noah Western (56.29) was 55th and Austin Stergas (56.89) was 56th.
