Churches help community

February 5, 2013
The Leader Herald

I thought it was important to write this letter to acknowledge the caring and selfless people who don't get the appreciation they deserve.

The First Free Methodist Church in Gloversville hands out food every Tuesday and Wednesday, and the first Thursday of every month.

Valley Alliance in Nelliston hands out clothes every Saturday of every month.

The Reformed Church in Canajoharie, aka "Comfort Zone," hands out toiletries, detergent, shampoo, etc., every fourth Monday of every month.

These three churches do so much for their communities without asking for anything in return.

They came to aid me after my surgery this past year. I am, and always will be, eternally grateful for their services.
